We wanted to let you know what a great vacation we had at Javelina Haven. The house was lovely: bright, spacious, and very very clean. We cooked wonderful meals in the kitchen while we looked up at the view to Sugar Loaf and Thunder Mountains. The neighborhood was quiet. The house was a great home base for our explorations–it was great to be so close to the different trail heads. Our 16- year-old son enjoyed independently climbing “Gil’s Hill” for a couple of sunrises. Other hikes took us to the Boynton Canyon trail and Devil’s Bridge another evening. We visited the petroglyphs at V Bar V twice, the second time to see the solar calendar at work, and the kids did the Pink Jeep tour to a cliff dwelling site, perfect for our anthropology major. We popped over to Jerome one afternoon and did a day at the Grand Canyon/Cameron. My son also skateboarded at what may be the most beautifully situated skate park in the world. I guess we did a lot, but it was at a relaxed pace with down time to just enjoy ourselves at the house. We suspect that, as a welcome, Gil dropped off the little javalina troupe that moseyed through the back yard and up the hill before sunrise our first morning there. Early as we got up each morning, we did not see them again. We did enjoy the quail and other bird life out back. Our first trip out west, it was just wonderful. Vortexes aside, I would have to say that Sedona is a magical place. We all agree that the house made the vacation. Thank you.

Thank you so much for allowing Jeanne and I to use your vacation home in Sedona. Staying in comfortable beautiful home, with all the amenities, makes the vacation that much more enjoyable. The master bed was so comfortable. Providing hiking poles and a cooler was just like being at home and being able to hike without even taking the car out of the garage was such a nice experience. The location of your home made access to the market, gas station, and restaurants very accessible. All in all, our vacation was wonderful. We cannot thank you enough for renting your beautiful vacation home to us. It was by far, the nicest we have ever stayed in. We hope to go back in couple of years, and when we do, we will check to see if we can use it again. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful time in Sedona.

We arrived late last night, and I have to say your home is just amazing. I could not be happier with our selection, and we haven’t been here yet a full day. Thanks for your handy e-mail, we just tried “The Coffee Pot”, and the food was great. Just thought I’d let you know how happy I am with selecting your home… but I’m sure you hear that from many of the guests that stay here!

A wonderful, comfortable home near Coffee Pot Mountain. Every amenity is included. Fruit, bagels and water were provided so that when we arrived, we could eat a light snack. WiFi was easy to hook up. Large Flat Panel TV provided for good Sunday football. Master Bed very comfortable. Decor is Southwest, and the place is impeccable. A pass to the Red Rock Forest is provided. Convenient to a lot of great restaurants. The ARCO on the corner has the cheapest gas in all of Sedona. Grocery stores less than 5 minute drive from the house. Carol (the owner) is easy to reach by phone and wants to make sure that your stay is great. Would return tomorrow if I could!

We had a wonderful time in Sedona area, thanks to you guys. Your house is beautiful, wonderfully located and fully stocked beyond belief. There is no need for anything!! We sat on the patio every night and gazed at the stars, counting the falling stars, usually about 6 – 12 every night. Again, thank you so much for everything, I will certainly tell everyone headed that direction about Javelina Haven.

Javelina Haven was all we dreamt of and more. The home is very comfortable and roomy. Everything is provided, even an umbrella which we thankfully did not use. We especially loved the master suite with it’s comfortable bed and linens. The view from the patio is breathtaking and it was easy to get to the Sugarloaf Trailhead for our daily hike.
The Sedona area was fantastic. We especially enjoyed the Pink Jeep Tour Broken Arrow Ride. We also enjoyed the various trails with our favorites being Cathedral Rock (from the I-179 entrance) and the Chapel in the Rock.
We also ventured out to Walnut Creek Canyon and Montezuma Castle, both of which were very interesting.
We will definitely be back as this was just a perfect vacation. Thank you Carol and Gil!

This vacation home was so perfect that the grandkids want to come back and stay here again!!! I totally agree with them and can’t wait to return. Carol and Gil have made their home so inviting with all the amenities of home. There was a fruit basket and bagels with cream cheese waiting for us when we arrived. A listing of restaurants and attractions was provided and extremely helpful. The home provides easy access to all the sights/attractions around Sedona. Sedona is such a beautiful city and far exceeded my expectations. I recommend Carol and Gil’s home for anyone wanting a perfect vacation experience!
